Our Background

Vibtech Analysis Ltd. is the largest independent Vibration Analysis service company in Southern Ontario. We proudly declare we are a mechanical consulting company dedicated to improving machinery reliability – not a division of a larger company with repair work agendas. The fact that we do not solicit overhaul work, combined with our unbiased approach and rigorous standards, gives credibility to our reports.

Vibtech Analysis Ltd. was founded in 1986 on the premise that although vibration analysis technology had been around for decades, there were few practitioners other than those found in major corporations like mines, steel mills, pulp and paper etc. Smaller companies were unable to affordably utilize this powerful technology to improve their maintenance programs.

Vibtech successfully filled this need by providing quality, affordable Vibration Analysis Services to small and medium sized industrial firms, commercial properties and institutional organizations.

We have over 100 man years of trouble-shooting experience in pumps, fans, compressors, cooling towers and a vast array of rotating equipment. With hundreds of regular clients, we are routinely called upon to diagnose problems in all types of rotating equipment in such diverse environments as hospitals, gas plants, refineries, pharmaceutical manufacturers, Tier I, II & III automotive manufacturing plants, and in all manner of manufacturing facilities in Southern Ontario. We bring a vast array of knowledge and cross industry experience to every job.

Our top-tier Predictive Maintenance Programs range from small facilities having 15 – 20 machines to those with over 350.

What is Vibration Analysis?

Vibration Analysis is the science of measuring machinery vibration levels to identify faults such as:

  • Unbalance
  • Failing Bearings
  • Lubrication Problems
  • Misalignment
  • Mechanical Looseness
  • Belt/Drive Problems

The key to determining the root cause of machinery fault is the capture and analysis of quality vibration data. Our Analysts capture more vibration data than any of our competitors. Additionally, stroboscopic inspections allow us to not only identify specific speeds of the various components, but also to visually observe the machine running in slow motion.

Where does Vibration Analysis apply?

Vibration Analysis is the primary tool used to identify faults in all manner of rotating equipment such as; unbalance, worn bearings, lubrication issues, misalignment, mechanical looseness, bent shafts, belt drive issues etc. This would include Electric Motors, Pumps, Fans, Compressors, Chillers, Gearboxes, Cooling Towers etc.
